Newbie tip. If you don’t like the default blue of the Blogger Navbar, there are three other colours you can choose (there’s Blue, Tan, Black, and Silver).

Change navbar color

According to the official Blogger Help section, if you publish a blogspot blog by FTP, you are allowed to disable the navbar.

If you’re publishing using FTP, you’ll have to use a Classic Template anyway, and you’ll have the option to switch off the navbar. Go into the template tab > edit HTML > edit Blogger Navbar > select Off.

Blogspot is a free service — a navbar strip at the top of the blog isn’t gonna drive me insane, like the way literary agents do :P.
