I just realized there’s a better, surer way to optimise the meta elements of my WordPress blogs. With the help of an SEO plug-in (I haven’t decided on one yet).

Basically, things aren’t going exactly as they should, because the meta description for the index page is appearing on every single damn post — which is not good.

So I’ll be spending quite some time fixing all of that, and will later write a post about it here. Probably with a bunch of other posts. I’ve always treated blogs somewhat like websites, and I’ve always liked updating a website at my own time.

I’ve read that a consistent level of updating (as opposed to frequency of posting), with regards to a blog, is better for SEO. As in, it’s better to update once a week, consistently — as compared to once a day for a week, then a break of two days, followed by three posts over two days, and so on.

I don’t have fixed schedules for many things, including blogging. I guess I’ll look to other (more reasonable, IMO) methods to rank relatively well in search engines.

On a completely unrelated note, I’m halfway through Bram Stoker’s Dracula; what an awesome, bone-chilling book.

// Update 15 Feb: Meta is improved. Apart from The Galeon blog directory disappearing — due to a “smart” move on my part — I think the rest is okay.
